W&H S-11 Straight Surgical Handpiece (1:1)

The S-11 is W&H’s classic, standard-length 1:1 straight surgical handpiece, recognized as a reliable workhorse in oral surgery and surgical dentistry. Popular with both oral and maxillofacial surgeons and general dentists, the S-11 has an excellent long-term track record for precision, durability, and tactile control.

Designed for Ø 2.35 mm surgical burs and cutters (including Stryker system) with a maximum bur length of 45 mm, the S-11 supports the most commonly used surgical bur format, with wide bur availability covering the full spectrum of oral surgical applications.

Manufactured in Austria by W&H, the S-11 features a dismantlable design for thorough cleaning, a secure lever chuck mechanism, and a robust stainless-steel housing with a scratch-resistant coating. Smooth, low-vibration performance and balanced ergonomics support fatigue-free working and excellent tactile feedback during surgery.

mini LED+ illumination overview

• LG variant: self-generating mini LED+ with an integral generator inside the handpiece, providing consistent illumination without relying on the motor.

• L variant: mini LED+ powered directly through the EM-19 LC motor connection, optimized for the Implantmed Plus SI-1015 system.

Both LED options enhance visibility at the treatment site and support precise, controlled surgical workflows.

Compatibility notes

• ISO E-type variants (S-11, S-11 LG) are fully compatible with standard ISO 3964 E-type surgical motors.

• Displayed RPM values depend on motor and handpiece calibration; when using non-W&H motors or handpieces, minor deviations between displayed RPM and actual bur speed may occur.
