Handpiece compatibility & LED clarification

• The system accepts standard ISO E-type handpieces from all brands.

• W&H handpieces without a letter designation do not provide illumination.

• LG-designated W&H handpieces contain an internal LED generator and illuminate independently of the motor.

• L-designated W&H handpieces are current-generation handpieces designed to receive illumination from a compatible EM-19 LC motor with LED capability.

• Third-party E-type handpieces operate mechanically but do not support LED illumination, and may not perform as per spec.  

Displayed RPM values are calibrated to W&H handpiece gear ratios. When using non-W&H geared handpieces, deviations between displayed RPM and actual bur speed may occur.
