Description
Product Overview
Piezomed extraction tips from W&H Dentalwerk are specifically designed for atraumatic tooth extraction with preservation of the alveolar bone.
Using piezoelectric ultrasound technology, these tips enable controlled detachment of the periodontium while minimizing trauma to surrounding hard and soft tissues. When a piezo instrument is inserted, the Piezomed system automatically recognizes the tip and assigns the appropriate power class, ensuring optimal working conditions, procedural safety, and consistent performance.
Indications
-
Atraumatic tooth extraction
-
Periodontal ligament detachment
-
Preservation of alveolar bone for future implant placement
Tip Selection and Clinical Roles
Periodontal Ligament Detachment
EX1 Tip for Piezomed (REF 06069300)
Ultrasonic extraction tip for buccal and lingual / palatal applications.
-
0.5 mm tip thickness
-
9 mm working depth
-
Manufacturer-recommended settings: 100% power / 100% irrigation
Designed for detachment of the periodontium to facilitate atraumatic tooth extraction while preserving hard tissue. Best results are achieved with constant motion to ensure adequate cooling within the gingival sulcus.
EX2 Tip for Piezomed (REF 06071100)
Ultrasonic extraction tip for mesial and distal applications.
-
0.5 mm tip thickness
-
9 mm working depth
-
Manufacturer-recommended settings: 100% power / 100% irrigation
Used for detachment of the periodontium in mesial and distal orientations, supporting controlled tooth extraction with preservation of the alveolar bone. Continuous movement is recommended to maintain sufficient cooling in the gingival sulcus.
Typical Clinical Workflow
-
EX1 – Buccal and lingual / palatal periodontal ligament detachment
-
EX2 – Mesial and distal periodontal ligament detachment
Used together, EX1 and EX2 allow circumferential ligament release for controlled, atraumatic extractions.
System Compatibility
-
Designed exclusively for the W&H Piezomed SA-320 Piezosurgery System
-
Automatic instrument recognition and power-class adjustment
Why Clinicians Choose Piezomed for Extractions
-
Atraumatic ultrasonic periodontal ligament detachment
-
Preservation of alveolar bone and surrounding structures
-
Improved control compared to traditional extraction techniques
-
Automatic power management for consistent performance
-
Sterilizable for repeated clinical use
