Description
The Angled Autogenous B1 Bone Collector – Tank & Blade Assembly is a high-precision, reusable component set designed for efficient autogenous bone harvesting in posterior and confined surgical sites. This product includes the collection tank and cutting blade assembly only and is intended for use with compatible Angled McBio handles (not compatible with Straight handles).
The angled geometry improves access and ergonomics where straight instruments are limited, while maintaining the same modular, cost-efficient design philosophy of the B1 system. The collection tank (outer sleeve) is manufactured from anodized titanium for durability and corrosion resistance, and the internal blade is produced from an extra-hard, special-grade surgical stainless steel for consistent cutting performance. The blade can be unscrewed from the tank assembly, allowing targeted replacement without discarding the handle.
Important: Angled B1 tank & blade assemblies require a stop-screw mounted through the handle at the distal end. If the screw is lost, replacement screws are available through Xemax.
Key Features
-
360° Cutting Blade
Razor-sharp circumferential cutting edges allow continuous harvesting by rotating the tank during use. -
Tank & Blade Assembly Only
Supplied without handle; compatible with Angled McBio Surgical handles only. -
Modular, Reusable Design
Blade and tank are replaceable wear components; the handle is designed for indefinite reuse. -
Premium Materials
Anodized titanium collection tank paired with a hardened surgical stainless steel blade. -
Cost-Efficient Reuse
Blade and tank can be cleaned and re-sterilized up to 10 cycles while maintaining full performance. -
Required Stop-Screw
Angled assemblies use a stop-screw through the handle to secure the tank & blade; replacement screws available if lost.
Available Variants & Tank Capacity
All variants share identical geometry and function. Selection is based on tank diameter and bone graft collection capacity.
| Tank Diameter | Size Label | Bone Graft Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 5 mm | Small | 0.15 cc |
| 6 mm | Medium | 0.2 cc |
| 8 mm | XL | 0.45 cc |
| 9 mm | 2XL | 1.0 cc |
| 10 mm | 3XL | 1.3 cc |
These published capacities allow clinicians to select the appropriate collector size based on anticipated graft volume and access constraints.
