Description

Jovanovich sinus lift instruments are precision hand instruments designed for the controlled and atraumatic elevation of the Schneiderian membrane during lateral window sinus augmentation procedures. The instruments feature large, curved, blunt working ends that allow gentle separation and elevation of the sinus lining after lateral bone window preparation.

All Jovanovich sinus lift instruments are designed to minimize the risk of membrane perforation by using smooth, dull curette ends that support controlled tactile feedback and predictable membrane handling.

They are commonly used in implant dentistry and oral surgery during maxillary sinus lift procedures requiring careful reflection of the Schneiderian membrane from the surrounding maxillary bone.

Clinical Use

Used following lateral window preparation to:

  • Separate the Schneiderian membrane from the maxillary sinus wall

  • Reflect and elevate the sinus membrane without cutting or tearing

  • Support controlled sinus membrane elevation prior to graft placement

Design Characteristics

  • Large, curved working ends for enhanced posterior and lateral access

  • Blunt, non-cutting curette ends to reduce risk of membrane damage

  • Smooth surfaces to support controlled, atraumatic elevation

  • Designed for sinus lift and sinus augmentation procedures
