Description
The Urban family of sinus lift curettes is designed for controlled, atraumatic elevation of the Schneiderian membrane during sinus lift procedures. These instruments are used to gently separate and reflect the sinus membrane from the maxillary bone after access has been established, supporting predictable membrane elevation prior to graft placement.
Each Urban curette features a distinct working-end pattern to address different anatomical contours and stages of membrane elevation. Smooth, blunt working ends are designed to minimize the risk of membrane perforation while maintaining tactile control. The Urban series is commonly used during lateral window sinus lift and maxillary sinus augmentation procedures.
Urban sinus lift curettes are available with a #6 handle or #6 Short (Urban 1 and Urban 2 only) handle to accommodate clinician preference for balance and access.
Urban1 features a 2.4 mm working end and is commonly selected for controlled membrane elevation where slightly broader contact is desired.
Urban2 features a 1.6 mm working end and is well suited for more delicate membrane separation and work in narrower anatomical areas.
Urban3 features a 1.5 mm working end and is designed for fine, precise membrane elevation in confined or sensitive regions.
Urban4 is part of the Urban sinus lift family and shares the same atraumatic design intent for Schneiderian membrane elevation during sinus lift procedures.
