Hu-Friedy Slim Luxating Elevators are precision instruments designed for atraumatic extractions where preservation of bone and soft tissue is critical. Compared to standard Hu-Friedy luxating elevators, the Slim series features working ends that are approximately 13–20% thinner, allowing easier insertion along the alveolar bone and more efficient severing of the periodontal ligament.
These elevators are engineered to glide smoothly along the root surface, supporting controlled periodontal ligament release with minimal socket expansion and improved tactile feedback.

Slim Luxating Elevators feature a slender working end combined with a lightweight, large-diameter handle designed to reduce hand fatigue and increase control. A performance-engineered surface treatment provides a harder, smoother working end for enhanced lubricity and optimal edge retention.
The Black Line configuration offers increased contrast at the surgical site and reduced light reflection, while the Standard Stainless Steel option provides a traditional instrument finish.

Short curved models are 10.16 mm (0.4 in) shorter than long versions
