Description
Hu-Friedy Palti osteotomes are precision bone instruments featuring round, convex working tips with laser-etched depth markings at 7, 10, 13, 15, and 18 mm. These osteotomes are used for controlled separation and elevation of cortical bone and for lateral bone spreading when inserted into a prepared pilot hole.
All Palti osteotomes share the same instrument geometry and clinical use, with selection based on tip diameter.
Available Variants
-
OSTPAL1 – 2.7 mm
-
OSTPAL2 – 3.2 mm
-
OSTPAL3 – 3.7 mm
-
OSTPAL4 – 4.2 mm
All variants include 7–10–13–15–18 mm depth markings.
Clinical Use
Palti osteotomes are used in oral and maxillofacial surgery to:
-
Separate and elevate cortical bone using a controlled greenstick fracture technique
-
Spread bone laterally when introduced into a pilot osteotomy
Depth markings provide visual reference during advancement to support controlled instrumentation.
