Description
The Hu-Friedy Ochsenbein single-ended chisels (CO1 and CO2) are designed for precise bone reshaping and soft tissue management during periodontal and surgical procedures. Each instrument features a curved 5 mm working end with semi-circular notches that are beveled on each side, supporting controlled osseous contouring and predictable tissue handling.
Both patterns may be used to reshape bone, reflect flaps, remove secondary palatal flaps, and perform secondary sulcular incisions during flap procedures. They also facilitate removal of remaining periodontal fibers on the tooth surface.
CO1 and CO2 share the same dimensions and clinical applications, differing only in the orientation of the bevel to accommodate clinician preference and access requirements.
Manufactured by Hu-Friedy, these chisels are handcrafted from surgical-grade stainless steel for longevity and corrosion resistance.
