Description
The Kramer-Nevins obtuse sinus lift curettes are designed for controlled, atraumatic elevation of the Schneiderian membrane during sinus lift procedures. They are used to gently separate and reflect the sinus membrane from the maxillary bone and to elevate the membrane following lateral window preparation.
This instrument features obtuse working ends set at a 47-degree angle, available in large and small profiles measuring 7.6 mm and 4.1 mm. The obtuse angulation provides stable, broad contact against the sinus wall, allowing smooth, evenly distributed membrane elevation with controlled leverage. The smooth, blunt curette ends are designed to minimize the risk of membrane perforation while preserving tactile feedback.
The Kramer-Nevins obtuse design is commonly selected for lateral window sinus lift and maxillary sinus augmentation procedures where gradual, controlled membrane elevation is preferred.
