Interchangeable Periotome Tips and Handle

Hu-Friedy Interchangeable Periotomes provide a modular solution for atraumatic extraction techniques. Individual blade geometries allow clinicians to select the appropriate working end based on tooth position and access requirements, while a dedicated handle supports efficient setup and component replacement.

These items are sold individually. A complete system is also available separately as HF-PTIKIT.

Interchangeable Periotome Blades: 
#10 Mesial Distal Angled Periotome Blade HF-PTI10

Designed for controlled access along mesial and distal root surfaces, the #10 blade features an angled profile to support circumferential PDL severance in challenging interproximal areas.

#9 Angulated Periotome Blade HF-PTI9

The #9 angulated blade provides enhanced access around curved root anatomy, supporting ligament release where straight blades may be limited.

#7 Straight Wide Periotome Blade HF-PTI7

Featuring a straight, wider blade profile, the #7 blade is intended for broader ligament engagement and controlled access where space allows.

#8 Straight Narrow Periotome Blade HF-PTI8

The #8 straight narrow blade is designed for tight interproximal spaces and delicate anatomy, particularly in anterior regions.

Interchangeable Periotome Handle:

The PTIH handle is designed specifically for use with Hu-Friedy interchangeable periotome blades, providing secure blade engagement and controlled tactile feedback during ligament release. HF-PTIH

Clinical Note

Interchangeable periotome blades are cutting instruments, not elevators. They are intended for controlled circumferential motion along the root surface. When additional force or elevation is required, clinicians typically transition to luxating or elevator instruments.
