Description
The Hu-Friedy Heidbrink 13/14 Root Tip Pick is a double-ended apical instrument designed for delicate root teasing and controlled removal of fractured root tips. Combining two complementary Heidbrink working ends on a single instrument, the 13/14 configuration allows clinicians to address apical fragments using different access vectors without changing instruments.
Heidbrink instruments are known for their fine, slender working ends and are commonly selected when precision and minimal bone disruption are required. The 13/14 pattern is well suited for careful apical manipulation in narrow or deep sockets where tactile feedback and control are essential.
Select 13/14 patterns are available in standard and heavy configurations. The standard version features narrower tips intended for delicate root teasing, while the heavy version incorporates wider, more robust tips for engaging more substantial root fragments when additional strength and purchase are needed.
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel, the Heidbrink 13/14 is fully autoclavable and designed to maintain performance and dimensional stability through repeated sterilization cycles.
