The Hu-Friedy GDQ Tunneling Instruments, designed by Gilles de Quincey, are intended for use during tunneling procedures. Hu-Friedy describes these instruments as being designed to help reduce the risk of perforation during tunneling.
The GDQ tunneling instruments are available in two configurations (Instrument 1 and Instrument 2). Hu-Friedy does not publish differentiated clinical indications or dimensional specifications between the two instruments. Selection is based on clinician preference.
