Description
Hu-Friedy Friedman (Craig) Elevators are surgical elevators designed for use on upper and lower cuspids. They are used to loosen teeth or root fragments from the periodontal ligament and ease extraction through controlled luxation.
Both instruments feature an angled head, with opposing working-end orientations to provide flexible access depending on tooth position and approach angle.

Design overview
The Friedman elevator design incorporates an angled head to improve access around cuspid anatomy. The E31 and E32 differ by the orientation of the working surface, allowing the clinician to select the most effective engagement while maintaining a consistent hand position.
Available patterns
E31 Friedman (Craig) Elevator Angled head with a down-facing working area when the shaft is held at the standard angle. Designed for controlled luxation of cuspids where this orientation provides optimal access.
E32 Friedman (Craig) Elevator Angled head with an up-facing working area when held at the same shaft angle as the E31. Provides the opposite engagement option for improved access and ergonomics.
Used together, the E31 and E32 offer complementary access for upper and lower cuspids.
