Description
Hu-Friedy E46 and E46R Elevators are surgical elevators indicated for upper posterior root extractions. They are used to loosen teeth or root fragments from the periodontal ligament and ease extraction through controlled luxation.
The two instruments are designed as complementary patterns, differing by the orientation of the working surface to provide flexible access while maintaining a consistent hand position.

Both elevators are designed for predictable engagement in posterior anatomy. The opposing orientation of the working ends allows the clinician to select the most effective approach angle based on root position and access.

E46 Elevator Features an up-facing working area when the shaft is held at a standard angle, providing one access orientation for upper posterior roots.
E46R Elevator Mirror-pattern counterpart with a down-facing working area when held at the same shaft angle, offering the opposite engagement option.
