Description
The Hu-Friedy Davis Single-Ended Root Tip Picks are delicate apical instruments designed for precise removal of fractured root tips, particularly in difficult-to-reach posterior areas. The Davis pattern is widely regarded as the workhorse posterior root tip pick trusted by oral surgeons for consistent performance and reliable access.
Each instrument features a fine, angled working end engineered to improve access in confined or posterior sockets where straight instruments may be limited. This angled tip design supports controlled root teasing and careful engagement of apical fragments while maintaining tactile feedback and precision.
The ED1 through ED4 patterns provide a range of access angles within the Davis family, allowing clinicians to select the appropriate configuration based on socket anatomy and fragment position. Most styles are available with either a #6 satin stainless steel handle or a #503 stainless steel handle, offering different grip profiles while preserving balance and control.
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel, Davis root tip picks are fully autoclavable and designed to maintain strength and dimensional stability through repeated sterilization.
