Description
Hu-Friedy E77-series elevators are surgical elevators used to loosen teeth or root fragments from the periodontal ligament and ease extraction. These instruments are especially well known for mesial atraumatic techniques and posterior molar extractions and are considered a core part of a comprehensive extraction instrument armamentarium.
Primary pattern
E77R Elevator The most commonly used pattern in this series. Features a serrated 3.0 mm tip with an outwardly (R = reverse) bent working end, providing strong leverage and secure engagement during mesial atraumatic and posterior molar extractions. The sturdy design supports controlled, predictable luxation.
E77RSM Elevator Small-handle version of the E77R. Maintains the same serrated 3.0 mm tip and outward bend, offering improved control and tactile feedback for clinicians who prefer a smaller handle.
Complementary pattern
E77 Elevator Features a finer serrated tip and an inward soft V-shaped bend, rather than the outward bend of the E77R. This geometry provides a more delicate engagement option and controlled leverage when a subtler approach is preferred.
