The Mead Immunity Mallet MAL1 is a precision surgical mallet designed for controlled force application during oral surgery procedures requiring chisels or osteotomes. Commonly used for tooth splitting and bone removal, the MAL1 delivers consistent impact while minimizing shock transmission to the clinician’s hand.
The mallet features a solid stainless steel body paired with nylon striking faces, providing an optimal balance between durability and controlled energy transfer. The nylon facings help reduce instrument damage and excessive vibration compared to all-metal mallets, making it well suited for delicate but force-dependent surgical maneuvers.
At 19 cm in length, the MAL1 offers excellent leverage and balance, supporting precise, repeatable strikes in oral surgery, periodontal surgery, and exodontia workflows.
Replacement nylon mallet ends (HF-PTNFM1) are available and sterilizable, allowing the instrument to be maintained cost-effectively over time. Always follow the manufacturer’s Instructions for Use (IFU) for validated sterilization temperature and cycle duration.
