Helitene® Absorbable Collagen Hemostatic Agent (Integra 1692ZL) is a soft, pliable, fibrillar collagen hemostat designed for rapid control of bleeding in oral, periodontal, and implant surgery. Made from high-purity bovine Achilles tendon collagen, Helitene offers consistent performance and exceptional adaptability in complex surgical sites.
This Type I fibrillar collagen provides a three-dimensional matrix that activates platelet aggregation and fibrin formation, achieving hemostasis typically within 2–5 minutes. The loose fibrillar form conforms easily to irregular anatomy, allowing surgeons to pack, wrap, or layer it precisely where needed.
