Description

Lingual and buccal bonding pads for controlled orthodontic traction and fixation

The Cusp-Lok Lingual Traction Attachments expand the Cusp-Lok system by providing versatile, low-profile bonding points on lingual, palatal, or buccal surfaces during orthodontic and surgical-orthodontic procedures. These accessories are designed for clinicians who require precise control over tie-in methods, force vectors, and fixation mechanics when brackets or chains are not ideal.

Each attachment features a mesh-style stainless-steel bonding base for reliable adhesion, paired with a distinct attachment interface to accommodate orthodontic wires, elastics, or fixation techniques.

Available Attachment Styles (Variants)

Cusp-Lok 3 — Monolink

Round lingual pad with single stainless-steel loop (Kaplin Hook)

The Monolink features a round bonding pad with an integrated single loop of stainless-steel wire (Kaplin Hook). This open-loop design allows attachment of virtually any orthodontic wire or elastic, offering maximum flexibility in force application and tie-in technique.

Typical use:

  • Lingual or palatal traction

  • Elastic or wire engagement

  • Situations requiring adaptable force vectors

Cusp-Lok 4 — Eyelet

Nickel-free direct-bond eyelet with tunnel-style attachment

The Eyelet incorporates a nickel-free stainless-steel eyelet with a mesh-style bonding base, designed for secure direct bonding on the buccal or lingual surface of any tooth. The tunnel-shaped attachment provides a defined path for wires or ligatures, supporting controlled and stable traction mechanics.

Typical use:

  • Buccal or lingual direct bonding

  • Guided wire or ligature engagement

  • Applications requiring superior bond strength and stability

Cusp-Lok 5 — Lingual Button

Round bonding pad with swivel-style knob

The Lingual Button features a round bonding pad with an attached swivel-style knob, allowing rotational freedom at the attachment point. This design is particularly useful when managing multi-vector forces or intermaxillary fixation (IMF).

Typical use:

  • Intermaxillary fixation

  • Multi-directional traction

  • Situations where rotational freedom is beneficial
