The WS-91 is a 45° angled surgical contra-angle handpiece designed to improve access and visibility in challenging posterior regions, particularly the premolar and molar areas. Long established as a preferred geometry for wisdom tooth surgery, the 45° head angle allows more ergonomic positioning and controlled cutting compared to straight or standard contra-angle designs.
In contrast to traditional air-turbine 45° handpieces, the WS-91 is an E-type, motor-driven system, offering several clinical advantages: no airflow into the surgical site, no need to manage rear exhaust to avoid air embolism risk, and consistent power delivery without feathering. Constant torque from the electric motor supports smooth, predictable cutting throughout the procedure.
